DRT Strategies Awarded $25M USDA FNS Technical Consulting Services Contract

U.S. Department of Agriculture selects DRT Strategies as a prime contractor for its five-year, Blanket Purchase Agreement to provide technology and systems support for USDA FNS nutrition programs.

Arlington, VA – October 14, 2014 – DRT Strategies, Inc. (DRT), a leading provider of technology and management consulting services and solutions to federal agencies, the U. S. Navy, and enterprise clients in the technology and financial services sectors, announced today that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) awarded the company a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for technical consulting services to support FNS nutrition programs.  The multiple-award, firm-fixed price (FFP), BPA has a contract value of $25 million over five-years.

DRT will provide expert technical consulting services and solutions to FNS and its’ State Agencies (SAs), supporting the implementation and maintenance of technology systems and initiatives for FNS nutrition programs: Child Nutrition Programs (CNP), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC).  Support will include extensive training, technical writing support, data analysis expertise, and technical assistance to ensure the proper administration and operation of these programs.

FNS Nutrition Programs work to provide healthy meals to fight hunger and obesity in schools, child and adult care institutions, residential child care institutions, after school programs, and summer programs throughout the nation. FNS CNPs include the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), the School Breakfast Program (SBP), the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP), and the Special Milk Program (SMP).
